As a Mediacorp channel now, Channel U shares most of its artistes with Mediacorp Channel 8 and Mediacorp Channel 5. While that is the case, it is observed that there are a few celebrities who are sighted on the Channel U airspace more than others. Channel U often features younger and newer faces, and also artistes who have a more vibrant on-screen personality. Also, it is interesting to note that there is a handful of Mediacorp artistes who had actually made their first public appearance through talent-searching competitions on Channel U. In this section, we will take a look at a few celebrities who are significant to Channel U's growth as a station, popular celebrities who made their debut through Channel U, and also the more commonly seen faces on Channel U today.

As a host who had been with Channel U since pre-merger, she had made a significant contribution to the local entertainment scene. While she may be plagued with negative scandals, she is one of the most iconic hosts in local TV industry.

One of Channel U's first artistes, he had hosted Channel U's opening ceremony. He is often paired up with Quan Yi-fong in hosting big-scale and more formal events.

Known for her role on infotainment "City Beat" alongside Bryan Wong, she has been recognized for her hosting abilities. She is one of the hosts who have been with Channel U pre-merger, and has also acted in Taiwanese idol drama "Westside Story" alongside 5566.

He began as a model who was discovered on Channel U's reality TV show "SNAP" for his Japanese-like appearance. After his win on the contest, he signed a contract with SPH MediaWorks. He is often seen hosting lifestyle-type variety shows, and is known better as a host than an actor.

He had joined Channel U during the station's opening and is a very important host to the Channel. His on-screen persona resonates well with the local audience and he had now moved across channels and is more often seen on Channel 8. He is also currently hosting the Singapore version of Minute to Win It on Channel 5.

Her identity as a DJ at local radio station Y.E.S. 93.3 has allowed the local audience to better know her. Also, with the branding of the station as one that is always up to date with the current trend, Peifen has hosted a couple of shows which appeal to the younger audience, such as "Let's Talk".

His hosting career started after taking part in Channel U's talent searching competition "Superhost". Among the newer generation of hosts, he is one of the more successful ones alongside Pornsak. He hosts a large variety of shows, ranging from game shows like Finding U to travelogues and talk shows, and even large-scale shows. He had opened 2 shops "STAGE" and "Ground Zero" at SCAPE, selling popular fashion brand from Taiwan, and is now often seen as a style icon.

Although he started off as a contestant on the second season of Project Superstar, he is now more known as a host than a singer. He often hosts lifestyle-type variety shows, and is currently now featured in Channel U's "Project Superstar 2014" as "Manager Chan".

While she is no longer active in the entertainment industry, she was an iconic figure to Channel U during the first few years of the station's operation. She had joined Channel U since the station's opening and had ventured into hosting and presenting during her time in Channel U.

She made her screen debut through Channel U's talent-searching competition "Road to Glamour" in 2001. She had signed a contract with MediaWorks then, but left the following year to further her studies. She returned to screen on Channel 8 with a contract with MediaCorp, where she rose to stardom and is now largely based. She had also starred in Taiwanese idol drama "Marmalade Boys" alongside Ken Chu. Most recently, she returned to Channel U's screen with drama series "Jump!" (2012).

Began her acting career as a child actress at the age of 9. She starred in Channel U's hit drama Perfect Cut and has ventured not only across Chinese channels, but also hosts and acts in shows on Channel 5.

She had first risen to fame with her roles in Channel 8 dramas. In recent years, after her contract with MediaCorp ended and she moved her contract to HIM International Singapore, she had made more frequent appearances on Channel U which targets a much younger audience. She has also worked with many Taiwanese actors like James Wen and Kingone Wang, further raising her profile among the younger audience. She had starred in hit dramas Secret For Sale (2011) and Marry Me (2014).

Among the newer generation of actors, Ian Fang had starred in a number of drama serials on Channel U. Most recently, he had taken on the lead character in "Served H.O.T.".

He had started off as a contestant on the second season of Channel U's Campus Superstar. He had already build a fan base since then, and he recently returned to the screens as an actor. He is currently one of the up and rising newer actors.

Considered a fresher face in the industry, he had actually made his TV debut on Channel 5's Fighting Spider (2009). Since then, he had made appearances on the Chinese TV industry, across both Channel 8 and Channel U.
